This incredibly brief, 18-minute album (yes, it's classified as an album) came out at the very beginning of the year. While Monday Night and 3WaySlim are rappers that I'm fairly unfamiliar with, I'm always excited to hear some good rap flow through my ears. Well, Good Company delivers. While it's a little too unsubstantial to be on repeat in my book, both Monday Night and Slim deliver on some distinct lyricism, decent flows, and mainly some really damn good beats - the instrumentals on this album are easily the best part about it, as songs like "Kwanzaa" or "Peace Treaties" are carried by their immaculate production that gives you the most to come back to. Of course, both Monday and Slim can throw bars around decently well, but I'd be lying if I said their propensity to wrap seemingly a little off-beat wasn't incredibly distracting on moments like "Dawned on Me." Because of the brief length and lack of any lasting impact, Good Company makes a fun listen, but doesn't really rise above the level of a good and sometimes more than good mini-album.
